From December 19, 2024 to January 28, 2025 /inclusive/, vehicles are prohibited from entering Opalchenska Street between Slivnitsa Blvd. and Todor Aleksandrov Blvd., including the intersections of Opalchenska Street with Pirotska Street and Tsar Simeon Street.
For the same period of time, the routes of some public transport lines are changing, respectively:
Trolleybus line No. 1: will run from the residential area “Levski G“ along its route to the intersection of “Patriarh Evtimiy“ Blvd. - “Praga“ Blvd. (return along “Gen. Skobelev“ Blvd. and “Vasil Levski“ Blvd.) and along “Praga“ Blvd., straight along “St. Georgi Sofiyski“ Str. to the turning trolleybus wheel “Military Medical Academy“, two-way.
The trolleybuses will stop at:
- all existing trolleybus and bus stops in the changed section of the route;
- at the newly opened stop with code 6225 “VMA“ (end), located in the roundabout;
- at the existing stop with code 0419 “VMA“ (start);
Trolleybus line No. 5 /towards the center/: from “UMBAL St. Anna – ear“ along the route to “Ruski Pametnik“ sq., U-turn on the square and along the route to UMBAL “St. Anna“.
Trolleybus line No. 7: from zh.k. “Lyulin 3“ along the route to the intersection of “Slivnitsa“ blvd. - “Opalchenska“ ul., along “Slivnitsa“ ul., to “Stochna Gara“ square, to the right along bul. „Vasil Levski“, „Patriarh Evtimiy“ blvd. (return via „Vasil Levski“), via „Prof. Fridtjof Nansen“ Str. and via „Cherni Vrah“ blvd. along the route to „Gotse Delchev“ residential area, two-way.
Trolleybuses will stop at all existing trolleybus and bus stops in the changed section of the route.
Trolleybus line No. 11 – the route is extended to the „Nadezhda“ overpass as follows:
- in the direction of the „Nadezhda“ overpass: from the „Druzhba 1“ residential area along the route to the square „Stochna Gara“, „Slivnitsa“ blvd., along „Opalchenska“ ul., along „Ohrid“ ul. and along „Podpolkovnik Kalitin“ ul. to the stop with code 1881 „Vishovgrad“ ul. – final; - in the direction of the „Druzhba 1“ residential area: from the stop with code 2116 „Nadlez Nadezhda“ – starting along „Skopje“ ul., along the local roadway of „Knyaginya Maria Luiza“ blvd., along „Gen. Stoletov“ ul., along „Dimitar Petkov“ ul., along „Slivnitsa“, „Stochna Gara“ square and right on „Vasil Levski“ blvd. along the route to „Druzhba 1“ residential area.
Trolleybuses will stop at all existing trolleybus and bus stops in the changed section of the route.
Temporary stops are being opened for the line:
- with code 6008 „Ul. Podp. Kalitin“ on „Gen. Stoletov“ blvd. 45 meters from the intersection with „Ul. Podp. Kalitin“ in the direction of „UMBAL St. Anna-Uho“;
- with code 6007 „Ul. Shumen“ on Blvd. „Gen. Stoletov“ 15 meters from Blvd. „Shumen“ in the direction of UMBAL St. Anna-Uho;
- with code 6005 „Ul. Dimitar Petkov“ on Blvd. „Gen. Stoletov“ 15 meters from the left turn on Blvd. „Dimitar Petkov“ in the direction of UMBAL „St. Anna“.
Bus line No. 60: - in the direction of Central Station: Ovcha Kupel 2 residential area along the current route to the intersection of Blvd. „Todor Aleksandrov“ - Blvd. „Gen. Skobelev“, along Blvd. „Todor Aleksandrov“, along Blvd. „Hristo Botev“, Central Station and along Blvd. „Knyaginya Maria Luiza“ to stop with code 2829 „Blvd. „Knyaginya Maria Luiza“ (end and start). - in the direction of Ovcha Kupel residential area: from stop with code 2829 „Blvd. Knyaginya Maria Luiza“ straight along the central roadway of Blvd. „Knyaginya Maria Luiza“, U-turn at the „Nadezhda“ overpass, along the central roadway of Blvd. „Knyaginya Maria Luiza“, along Blvd. „Hristo Botev“, along Blvd. „Todor Aleksandrov“ and left along Blvd. „Odrin“ along the route to Blvd. Ovcha Kupel 2.
The buses will stop at the existing bus stops in the changed section of the route and at:
- the two-way stop with codes 6407 and 6708 “Opalchenska Metro Station“ for the night line N1 on Blvd. “Todor Aleksandrov“;
- the two-way tram stop with codes 0376 and 0377 “Slivnitsa Blvd.“;
- the two-way tram stop with codes 2112 and 2113“Pirotska St.“.
The buses will not stop at the stop with code 2830 – starting point for line No. 74.
Bus line No. 74: in the direction of Central Station: from the residential area “Gotse Delchev“ along the route to the intersection of Blvd. “Gen. Skobelev“ - Blvd. “Todor Aleksandrov“, right on Blvd. “Todor Aleksandrov“, left on Blvd. “Hristo Botev“, along the central roadway of Blvd. “Knyaginya Maria Luiza“, U-turn at the overpass “Nadezhda“ and along the central roadway of Blvd. “Knyaginya Maria Luiza“ to the stop with code 2830 “Blvd. Knyaginya Maria Luiza“ – final and starting; in the direction of the residential area „Gotse Delchev“: from stop with code 2830 on the route to the intersection of Blvd. „Hristo Botev“ - Blvd. „Slivnitsa“, along Blvd. „Hristo Botev“, along Blvd. „Todor Aleksandrov“ and to the left along Blvd. „Gen. Skobelev“ along the route to zh.k. „Gotse Delchev“.
The buses will stop at the existing bus stops in the changed section of the route and at:
- stop with code 6708 „Metrostation Opalchenska“ for the night line N1 on Blvd. „Todor Aleksandrov“;
- the two-way tram stop with codes 0376 and 0377 „Blvd. Slivnitsa“;
- the two-way tram stop with codes 2112 and 2113„Ul. Pirotska“.
Buses will not stop at the stop with code 2829 – starting point for line No. 60.
The movement of bus lines No. 77 and 82 is restored along the existing routes: via Opalchenska Street in the direction of the Zapaden Park residential area/ residential area „Lyulin 5“.
The route of the school bus line U1 is changed as follows: from „Balkankar“ AD along the current route to the intersection of ul. „Pirotska“/ul. „Odrin“, to the right on ul. „Odrin“, along bul. „Todor Aleksandrov“ to the intersection with bul. „Hristo Botev“
A temporary final stop for the line is to be opened on bul. „Todor Aleksandrov“ immediately before bul. „Hristo Botev“
The route of the school bus line U2 is changed as follows: from zh.k. Lyulin 5 along the current route to the intersection of bul. „Todor Aleksandrov“/ul. „Opalchenska“ and straight along blvd. „Todor Aleksandrov“ to a new final stop with code 6407 „Metrostation Opalchenska“. A temporary final stop is opened for the line on blvd. „Todor Aleksandrov“ immediately before blvd. „Hristo Botev“. Bus line No. 86 (only in the direction of AP Malashevtsi): from zh.k. „Svoboda“ along the route to the intersection of blvd. Knyaginya Maria Luiza“ - ul. Opalchenska“, along ul. „Opalchenska“, along blvd. „Slivnitsa“, „Levov Most“, sq. „Stochna Gara“, left along ul. “Vladayska Reka“, along “Gradinarska“ Street, continues along “Rezbarska“ Street to the turning point of the “Malashevtsi“ AP. In the direction of the “Svoboda“ residential area, the route does not change. Buses will stop at the existing bus stops in the changed section of the route. Buses will not stop at stops with codes 2829 and 2930 for lines № 60 and 74.
Tram line № 21 will be closed.Tram line № 22: will run along the route from the “Iztok“ bus station to the “Opalchenska“ metro station (terminus of tram lines No. 20 and 21).
From 23.12.2024 to 28.01.2024, a temporary tram line No. 22A will be opened with the following route: from Krasna Polyana residential area (starting and ending stop “Dobrotich Street“), along “Nikola Mushanov“ Blvd., “Vazkresenie“ Blvd., “Konstantin Velichkov“ Blvd., along “Alexander Stamboliyski“ Blvd., along “Hristo Botev“ Blvd., along “Struga“ Blvd., along “Knyaginya Maria Luiza“ Blvd., central station and to the left along “Hristo Botev“ Blvd. on the route to Krasna Polyana residential area (terminus stop “Dobrotich Street“).
