Neynsky: The request for the agreement with Ukraine to be approved by the National Assembly is a provocation - 1

The request for the agreement with Ukraine to be submitted for approval by the parliament was like a bolt from the blue, extremely strange. There is nothing new in it, and the parliament has repeatedly spoken out. For me, this is a deliberate provocation aimed at dividing the parties. A pro-European reformist majority is the solution. This was stated in the studio of "Hello, Bulgaria" by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs Nadezhda Neynsky.
There was a date for signing the agreement, and preparations have been underway with the Ukrainian side for 20 days. Suddenly, hours before it is to be signed, this strange request is made. The agreement can be signed by the Council of Ministers and then ratified by the National Assembly. If the prime minister had any considerations and concerns, he could have turned to parliament in these 20 days, and not done so at the last minute," Nejnsky commented.

According to her, giving up territories without guarantees of lasting peace for Ukraine would mean capitulation. "In such a case, it turns out that it is giving up the people in them, and the ambition to Russify the population shows that if we accept this, we will become accomplices in expansion towards an independent and sovereign state. Trump, in the worst case, can reduce or stop support for Kiev, but cannot lead to capitulation. A demarcation line is required between Russia and Ukraine, with which Kiev does not give up its territories, but accepts that through diplomacy over the years it may be able to recover them," the diplomat pointed out.

Nejnsky also commented on Orbán's visit. "It is at Radev's invitation, Glavchev will not meet with him. The Hungarian Prime Minister is not Trump's man. He will be different from his first term, he will make Europe take on part of its own security, he is very pragmatic. Regarding the Pacific region, there will be a need for partnership with Europe, so it is time to show geopolitical vision," she believes.
