Natalia Kiselova: If GERB and PP-DB do not come to an agreement, the chances of a government will greatly decrease - 1

After the Prime Minister's criticism, the Speaker of the National Assembly announced that at the start of the new year, the deputies will first deal with the budget and judicial reform.

Exclusively to bTV, Natalia Kiselova answered what the chances are for a cabinet and whether she sees herself as prime minister.

Do you think there is a chance for a government?

– Unfortunately, at the moment it is very difficult to say who is in power and who is in opposition, it seems that everyone is in opposition, and there is no power. We cannot move from election to election and every MP must make an effort to stop entering this spiral.
There are two options. One is around GERB, which is the first to receive a mandate for government. And the other option is an anti-GERB coalition. If Mr. Borisov takes a step back, as is the expectation of the majority of MPs, perhaps the talks will have a glimmer of hope. So the possibilities are not excluded, but if GERB and PP-DB do not come to an agreement, the chances of a government will greatly decrease.

Do you have a concept of what to do in the position of acting prime minister?

– This is a conversation that should be held at the initiative of the president, after exhausting the three possibilities for a government.

What are your priorities for next year? What, besides the budget and judicial reform, should the National Assembly do to meet expectations?
– First of all, there must be a regular government, and secondly, the bodies with expired mandates must be renewed so that fresh forces and fresh blood can enter the state administration and there can be steps forward.

Is this within the power of the National Assembly?

– Maybe not all at once, let's start with five bodies with expired mandates – The Supreme Judicial Council, Inspectorate, CPC… I think it is a good wish.
And to the Bulgarians, Assoc. Prof. Kiselova wished:

„Happy holidays, may they be healthy, may they have peace and comfort in their homes and with their loved ones. And may we justify the trust they have given, and those who did not vote for the National Assembly regret not having supported us“.
