The driver who blocked the "Shipka" pass with a heavy truck on Thursday evening has been fined. This was announced by the director of the Veliko Tarnovo Traffic Police, Eng. Ventsislav Angelov. "We specifically fined this driver. We called the police, measures were taken to punish him," he said.
The "Shipka" pass is prohibited year-round for vehicles over 12 tons. "There is no way we can check the grippers on every tire of the vehicles," the engineer specified.
