Delyan Peevski called on KEVR to wake up and oblige the EPRs to turn on the electricity. People are not being punished for their fines, he said, quoted by BNT.
"The fact that more than 200 settlements are without electricity is scandalous. What is even more worrying is that the minister “scare” the EPRs, who are responsible, with fines! People who are in distress for days on end during the holidays, are not being punished for their fines!".
The leader of "DPS - Novo nacholo" insisted that KEVR immediately begin an inspection of the investments and technical security of the networks, because "all Bulgarian citizens have paid for having electricity 24/7".
"And if the crisis continues, proceed to the strictest sanctions such as revoking the companies' licenses".
Peevski threatened that "if KEVR does not act urgently, he will refer all competent authorities to a full inspection of the electricity distribution companies".
"There is no reason in the 21st century to allow thousands to be left without electricity in European Bulgaria and for this to go unpunished for the companies responsible".
