Glavchev: We are on the threshold of the eurozone, within days we are expected to fulfill the fourth criterion

„We are on the threshold of the eurozone, within days we are expected to fulfill the fourth criterion – price stability”. This was stated by caretaker prime minister Dimitar Glavchev at the beginning of the first government meeting of the year, quoted by Nova TV.

Previously, he commented that our full membership in Schengen is a good start to the year.
„It is the fruit of the efforts of many governments, experts, diplomats. But a lot of effort was put in even in the last days before our admission. There was very active communication in the last few days,” said Glavchev. He assured that efforts to protect the borders will continue.

In his report on the cabinet's work so far, Glavchev also commented on the elections. He said that they were fair and transparent, as assessed by international independent observers.
“I am convinced that the assessment of the Constitutional Court is in this direction, i.e. it will not find any shortcomings in our work”, said Glavchev.
