The road to Bansko is dangerously sliding in the area of the village of Gradevo. The problem has been there for many years, but recently local people have noticed increasingly active landslides, which in some places are leading to undermining of the road surface.
The RIA explained to Nova TV that traffic on the section is safe. 6 m of the shoulder was compromised by the rains in December. And for safety, small stone was filled in, which stabilized the route. The RIA added that the section is inspected daily by employees of the Regional Road Administration-Blagoevgrad. A public procurement for the reconstruction of the road is planned to be announced in the second quarter of this year.
