Toshko Yordanov: Our country is in total financial collapse - 1

In the last two elections, I stated that we would do everything possible to have a working government without Delyan Peevski. This happened - there is a working government without Delyan Peevski. Our country is in total financial collapse. This was stated in the studio of "Panorama" by the chairman of the PG of "Ima takvi narod" Toshko Yordanov.

According to him, Bulgaria is not ready for the eurozone. This is what "Eurostat" says when it receives documents in which the Bulgarian state has adjusted its budget so as to meet the 3% deficit requirement, and the lack of money for next year is 18 billion leva.

"And in this situation, if there was no government and there were elections, there would be no budget. With a deficit of 18 billion, this means that the state will stop performing its functions in 2-3 months. There will be no money for salaries for teachers, for doctors. There simply won't be any, because there isn't any. There won't be any for pensions either," explained Toshko Yordanov.

In his words, in order to have a balanced budget and to stop this "insane spending and inflation", there must be a government. The choice is between pragmatism and stupidity. At ITN, we have always chosen pragmatism, and that is why we said and fulfilled our election promises - a stable government without Peevski, Yordanov added.

He also commented on the speculations surrounding the change in the date of the "There is such a people" conference. According to him, the only reason for postponing the party forum is the negotiations for forming a regular cabinet:

"Every party by law must regularly hold a conference. We had scheduled it before. It just coincided with the entire negotiation process for the government and we couldn't finish things in terms of documents, so we postponed it for a little later. And a group of funny journalists started writing that Slavi Trifonov would be replaced there, that we had a fight because I wanted to be deputy prime minister and all that nonsense. It's very funny! This is just a standard conference that should be held by law," he explained.
