We want the nationalization of "Lukoil" because this is the last island of our energy independence, along with our coal-fired power plants, and because it should not fall into the hands of lobbying companies unknown to us. This was stated in "Osche du dny" on BNT by MECH leader Radostin Vassilev. He was categorical that this proposal is not Peevski's, but MECH's.
"This is not nationalization, but a purchase on a state principle according to commercial rules and a conversation with the owners of the two companies that hold "Lukoil" the refinery plus the gas stations".
According to him, "Lukoil" is now a hostage to geopolitical interests. This would be a move in the national interest, he added. He said that this would bring several billion into the Bulgarian budget. In the field of energy, the state is doing averagely, the leader of MECH believes.
"I liked "MECH against all" because we are the only opposition in this parliament. Neither the ruling party is truly ruling, nor the opposition is truly opposition".
"We are outside this vulgar conversation", he said. According to him, Peevski is not in opposition, but participates in the government. "Temenuzhka Petkova is in Peevski's shadow", said the MECH leader and added that another MP who is under Peevski's influence is Mladen Marinov.
"Do you think that since Kiril Petkov thanked and kissed Peevski, this doesn't happen with other ordinary MPs?", asked the MECH leader.
