Dogan's MRF knelt down for Lyudmila Petkova - 1

Minister Temenuzhka Petkova took responsibility for the appointment of Lyudmila Petkova (acting as director of the State Financial Inspection Agency), said that this was her sole decision. In addition, she took responsibility for ensuring that the structures of the Ministry of Finance do not turn into a political club and at the slightest doubt she will withdraw anyone who abuses this topic. That is why we from our parliamentary group give her credit for trust. She stated this in "The Day Begins" on BNT Hasan Ademov, MP from "Democracy, Rights and Freedoms - MRF".

The MP explained why the MRF-MPS have declared themselves against her appointment.

"We from our parliamentary group make a distinction between the professional qualities of Lyudmila Petkova and the position of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance during the government of Delyan Peevski with Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev. You probably remember those decrees of the Council of Ministers to certain municipalities. Those 86 billion leva that were kindly provided to the municipalities that are governed by mayors close to Delyan Peevski. On the other hand, there are municipalities that signed agreements with the MRDPW back in April last year, have signed contracts with contractors and are still waiting for advance payments so that they can start work on the implementation of the project, and there are other municipalities that signed contracts in October and are receiving funding. The selective approach to financing individual municipalities worries our PG."

According to him, the appointment of Lyudmila Petkova as head of ADFI could mean pressure on municipalities close to the MRF-DPS.

"ADFI controls the spending of public finances. In municipalities close to the MRF-DPS, inspections by ADFI are ubiquitous, followed by finding protocols that go to the KPKONPI, followed by interrogations, from which nothing comes out, but the bitterness of this harassment, of the pressure remains. This is the concern that follows from this political bluff."

Ademov called for the political hygiene between the partners in the government to be at a higher level.

"The agreement on joint management clearly states that there must be consultations regarding the appointment of the previous deputies. -ministers, there has been no such coordination. The SSU is mainly talking about the budget, in parallel there are appointments that we learn about from the media. This coalition was created with difficulty, the political hygiene between the partners in the government must be at a higher level. Bulgaria needs a regular government, a budget, and our participation in this governing majority is to have security, to have stability. We are in no way backing down from the so-called cordon sanitaire. It is not so easy for this to happen, because Mr. Peevski's appointments to some ministries continue, but we are monitoring this and alerting the public."

The MP did not rule out the possibility of candidates from the DPS-DPS occupying managerial positions at various levels.

"If we propose good candidates, we cannot help but seek agreement in the coalition format - our deputy ministers, regional governors to participate in the government."
