Two elderly women died in fires, and a man was injured, the General Directorate of Fire Safety and Population Protection (GDPBZN) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced on its website, quoted by dariknews.bg.
The first case is from the Pleven region, where a fire broke out in a house in the village of Beglej. A team was sent to the scene, and a 76-year-old woman died in the incident. 100 sq m of building and 120 sq m of roof were destroyed.
The other fire is in a house in a villa area near the Dabnika dam, Vratsa municipality. A 79-year-old woman died in the fire. and an 81-year-old man was injured. He was gassed and has first-second degree burns to his face. The roof structure, building and household goods were destroyed.
A total of 106 fires were extinguished in the past 24 hours. 24 fires caused direct material damage, of which 15 were in residential buildings. 82 fires did not cause material damage, of which 36 were in dry grass.
The fire brigade teams participated in 23 rescue and relief operations.
There were two false alarms.
