The opposition created chaos in the Serbian parliament, throwing and lighting smokers. The ruling majority deputies responded by raising Serbian flags and chanting “Ustasha“, Novosti reports, Fokus reports.
The spring session of the parliament began with a proposed agenda of 62 points, including four bills in the field of education, changes to the Law on Higher Education and a bill on affordable housing loans for young people. The session was also supposed to confirm the resignation of Prime Minister Miloš Vučević.
Instead of a constructive debate, however, the session descended into chaos after opposition deputies began throwing smokers, which led to a physical fight. The ruling Serbian Progressive Party accused the opposition of “activating the Kurti scenario“, referring to Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
