The partners in power have united around the decision that all pensions should be increased from July 1 according to the Swiss rule. This was stated by the partners in power after a meeting of the Joint Governance Council.
“After conducting the necessary consultations within the framework of the Joint Governance Council, we decided that the budget that will be submitted will include an increase of 11% for all pensions", said Denitsa Sacheva. She spoke after a coalition council at a special briefing on the sidelines of parliament. The decision is a reaction to the tension in the coalition that arose when the budget was initially adopted by the council.
It stated that pensions would increase by only 5% from July 1, and this year the Swiss rule would not be applied.
"I would like to specially thank the partners who understood the tension that exists regarding the increase in pensions," said Dragomir Stoynev.
Denitsa Sacheva added that the 3% deficit would be maintained, the eurozone would continue to be a priority. The reason is that tension is being created, she explained.
After we had the necessary consultations among ourselves, within the framework of the Joint Governance Council, we decided that the budget, which will be finally submitted by the Council of Ministers to the National Assembly, will increase pensions from July 1, applying the full Swiss rule for all pensioners. At the same time, the budget will maintain the 3% deficit target and the eurozone continues to be our main priority. This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the GERB – SDS Parliamentary Group Denitsa Sacheva.
Stanislav Balabanov from ITN pointed out that the budget is an antidote to Asen Vassilev's open financial policy.
Dzhevdet Chakarov added that the DPS-DPS share the motives and considerations of the coalition participants and pensioners must be supported.
The reason for making this decision is that there is a sufficiently high tension that is currently being created, again with false information. Obviously, the seriousness of the task and the difficulties that must be resolved within the framework of this budget are not sufficiently realized by the opposition. Obviously, there is a sufficiently irresponsible opposition that was populist in government, will obviously be twice as populist in opposition, said Sacheva.
We want to show first our social responsibility, public responsibility and responsibility towards the common money of the state. Secondly, we want to assure everyone who thinks that there are any problems in our joint government that we are more united than ever and will submit a budget that will receive the support of all participants in this joint government, emphasized the deputy chairman of the GERB - SDS parliamentary group.
