The names of the candidates for chairman and two members of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission - one in the field of energy and one in the field of water supply and sewage - have been published on the website of the National Assembly, BNT reported.
There are two candidates for chairman of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission - Meglena Rusenova, nominated by the parliamentary group of "Continuing Change - Democratic Bulgaria", and Plamen Mladenovski from the parliamentary group of GERB-SDF.
Meglena Rusenova, Tasko Ermenkov from the parliamentary group "BSP - United Left" have been nominated again for members of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission; Remzi Osman from the parliamentary group "Democracy, Rights and Freedoms" - MRF; Alexandra Bogoslovska from the parliamentary group "There is such a people".
Plamen Mladenovski has a higher education in "Finance" from the University of National and World Economy, and a master's degree in financial management. Since 2013, he has been working at EWRC, initially holding expert positions, and subsequently managerial positions. From 2016 to the present, he has been Director of the "Electric Power and Thermal Power" Directorate at the Commission.
Meglena Rusenova is a member of the Management Board of the "Electric Power System Security" Fund and has chaired the Bulgarian Photovoltaic Association for more than twelve years.
Last week, the National Assembly adopted procedural rules on the terms and conditions for proposing a chairman and two members of the EWRC.
According to the adopted rules, within 7 days, the members of parliament and parliamentary groups had to make their proposals for proposing a chairman of the EWRC and two members - one in the field of energy and one in the field of water supply and sewage, to the Energy Committee through the Chairman of the National Assembly.
