Bulgaria has 55 billion dollars illegally exported to 4460 offshore accounts. This is all the pensions of Bulgarians for five years. This was what the former chief auditor of the BNB Kolyo Paramov told FOCUS.

Last year, Bulgaria was in 47th place on the list of countries for money laundering. Now it will probably go to 40th or 41st place, Paramov predicts.

"The power of exported Bulgarian money suppresses the domestic political situation too much and this is known by those who observe. After Trump came, things went to an extreme. The new head of the FBI has been appointed today, and his main task will be to reveal the interconnections of Eastern and Western capitals, which in one way or another influence decision-making and the abuse of policy“, commented the former chief auditor of the BNB.

In 2007, $4.7 billion was exported from Bulgaria, and in 2008 - $5.5 billion. – – – – – – If a regime had been imposed then and we had entered the eurozone, every transfer of over 10,000 euros would have been checked by the central bank and the European Central Bank. The truth is one - until we enter the eurozone, the lack of control in the country will exist and no one will be able to say five words regarding intermediate payments, regarding control, regarding differences, regarding all payments from our country to all types of offshore companies in the world without control, without reporting to “Financial Intelligence” and without reporting to the Ministry of Finance and Financial Services, without reporting on a revenue basis, without registration opportunities“, said Kolyo Paramov.
