On the border with Turkey, traffic at the border checkpoint (BCP) "Kapitan Andreevo" is intense. This was announced on its website by the General Directorate of the Border Police (GDBP). Data on traffic along the borders are as of 6:00 a.m.
Temporarily, the crossing through the border checkpoint "Malko Tarnovo" is carried out on one route due to reconstruction of the checkpoint.
On the borders with the Republic of North Macedonia and Serbia, traffic is normal at all border checkpoints.
On the border with Greece, due to the increased interest in traveling to the destination Rudozem – Xanti from the "Border Police" informs citizens that construction activities are taking place on the road on the Greek side. The Greek authorities have placed signs indicating that the terrain is a construction site and that outsiders are not allowed to enter the site.
Only cars and minibuses up to 3.5 tons are allowed to pass through the border crossings in the region of Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad.
Regarding traffic along the border with Romania, the border authorities recall that on January 8 this year, major repairs to the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge near Ruse resumed, which is why a temporary traffic organization has been introduced. Traffic is carried out in one lane with a one-way traffic regime and is regulated by employees of the contractor company.
