Venko Sabrutev: 7 billion from the budget may go to the acquisition of Lukoil - 1

The MP from "We continue the change" Venko Sabrutev has raised the alarm about a potential large-scale scandal related to the gas storage facility in the village of Chiren. In an interview for the program "Without claims" on "Darik Radio", he expressed serious concerns about the investigation by the European Prosecutor's Office.

"Chiren has the potential to become the biggest scandal for the theft of European funds. Everything that is being poured on Teodora Georgieva's head is from the moment she starts an investigation into Chiren. The actual actions of the European Public Prosecutor's Office in the investigation are turning into a personal attack by the mafia against the Bulgarian Chief European Prosecutor," Sabrutev said.

The MP also commented on the issue of the 7 billion leva allocated from the budget, intended for the Bulgarian Development Bank and other state institutions, as the purpose of this funding remains unclear.

"One of the speculations about these 7 billion leva is that they will still try to buy "Lukoil" and make it state-owned. This would sound good if the level of corruption in Bulgaria were not higher than in Africa," said the MP from "We Continue the Change".
