„Joining the eurozone is part of GERB's reason for existence. It was proclaimed in the party's statute when it was created. If they were confident that by January 1, 2026, it would be accepted into the eurozone, there would be no risky violations of the “Swiss rule”. This was said by political analyst Toncho Krajevski in the studio of the show “Your Day” on NOVA NEWS.

According to Dimitrova, neither Delyan Peevski nor Boyko Borisov would make a proposal for a referendum. “When it became part of the EU, Bulgaria made a commitment that one day it would also enter the eurozone”, she added.
