Bulgaria will not have a stable government, but just a government, if “Democracy, Rights and Freedoms - MRF” withdraws its support. The cabinet should press on until the adoption of the euro, because Borisov wants to remain in history. This is how political scientist Parvan Simeonov commented on the power struggles in the program “Crossroads”.
He added jokingly that Boyko Borisov should stop talking about the actions of Rosen Zhelyazkov, because it already looked like jealousy.
Simeonov is of the opinion that the coalition would find support outside of “Democracy, Rights and Freedoms” - DPS, but also the organization around Ahmed Dogan itself knows that they are not in a position to ask for more. He called their behavior “short-sighted”, because their stable power ”extends life”.
The political scientist approves of Zhelyazkov's foreign policy position and finds it correct. “It is inherently Bulgarian to try to have one foot in the east and the other in the west”, he said.
He called the situation in Europe “a crisis as an opportunity”. “The situation is inexorable and even in the absence of unity in the EU, the big countries in Europe will provide traction. The new leadership comes with Germany. In Bulgaria, Germanophile sentiments are a constant”, Simeonov reported.
He analyzed: “European leaders do not accept Trump's cynicism, but they accept the word “peace”. There can be no talk of a victory for Ukraine and the war must stop before it is too late”.
According to the political scientist, Europe should no longer display “wishful thinking”.
