The stability of this budget is quite fragile. For example, increasing concession fees, the exotic idea of a capital injection into state-owned enterprises, etc. The effects are quite diverse. This was stated by former Deputy Prime Minister Prof. Daniela Bobeva in the program “Face to Face“ on BTV.
It is not good to invest such a large amount in unreformed enterprises. The government must provide sufficient guarantees that it will not be spent in bad faith, she believes.
We are growing in debt the most of all European countries. The big problem with this budget is to stop the practice of very generously giving away money. I am not talking about investment spending, but about social spending and those in the public sphere, specified Prof. Bobeva.
According to her, the discussion around the budget was quite devastating. "It was like the last battle for the Eurosceptics, who did everything possible to erode trust in our public finances".
The things that were promised to business are not happening in this budget, she reported.
Daniela Bobeva reported that Dyankov has proven himself as a minister, but distanced herself from his forecast, as well as that of other people. She said that she is optimistic about our entry into the eurozone and indicated the earliest date for this to be March 20 after the report is released. The former Deputy Prime Minister is optimistic that we will succeed for at least two reasons. The first reason is that no one knows yet and forecasts are absolutely unnecessary, since we will find out about this at the earliest on March 20, when the data on the inflation criterion in February for the European Union and ours will be released. So we will be able to calculate how much inflation has been in the last 12 months, and see whether we meet the inflation criterion, said Prof. Bobeva.
In her words, this is an opportunity that we should take advantage of. We will be in the core, not on the periphery. Business will be the one that will win. The risks that we underestimate are related to the technical transition, explained the former Deputy Prime Minister.
