Peevski: We support the fair protest of the restaurateurs: We are resubmitting the proposal for 9% VAT

We fully support the fair protest of the representatives of the restaurant business in their demands, for which we submitted a bill on January 13 of this year, which, however, was rejected by the majority in the budget committee with procedural gripes. This was said by the leader of "DPS-New Beginning" Delyan Peevski in his position, sent to the media by the party's press center.
This only proved the hypocritical attitude of some political parties towards business, because the reduced VAT for restaurateurs during the Covid measures enabled the entire sector, which is a very large part of medium and small businesses, to stabilize, guaranteeing the preservation of thousands of jobs.
Today, it is even more important for responsible parliamentarians to give their support to the sector, and that is why we are resubmitting this proposal for a reduced VAT rate for restaurants.
I call on all MPs to support our proposal so that people can truly be assured that the state is stable and the actions of the authorities are subordinated to upholding the best interests of the people.
As leader of the MRF and the PG of "MPS-New Beginning" I will no longer allow a single just protest to go unheard and a single problem that depends on the legislative branch to go unresolved when it comes to the people and the state.
