Borisov: What did the DB save? Their shame will be if the entry into the eurozone happens with Peevski's support

When Vasil Bozhkov stands next to Kiril Petkov, and knowing how much Alexey wanted to have a government, remembering those recordings in which Bozhkov himself boasted about how he manages the protests on the Internet, I take it as - he went to look at his investments. Borisov: What did the DB save? Their shame will be if the entry into the eurozone happens with Peevski's support - 1

"The tension in society has nothing to do with corruption, nor with “Magnitsky”, but with the eurozone. When Bulgaria enters the eurozone, the Bulgarian lev cannot devalue. It is stable because it is tied to the euro. Why are they so scared of the eurozone?"
This was said by GERB-SDF leader Boyko Borisov on the sidelines of the National Assembly, quoted by Nova TV.

He pointed out that both without the DB and with them, Bulgaria will enter the eurozone. “Their shame will be if this happens to Peevski, that he supports and adopts the euro. What have they saved?”, he added.

The protest of “Justice for Everyone”

Borisov commented on the protest of “Justice for Everyone” against Delyan Peevski in front of the Courthouse on Wednesday.

“Alexey Petrov is turning in his grave. I have always said that protests are an expression of the will of the people. But I am convinced that when Vasil Bozhkov stands next to Kiril Petkov, and knowing how much Alexey wanted to have a government, remembering those recordings in which Bozhkov himself boasted about how he was managing the protests on the Internet, I accept him as – having gone to look at his investments. And I feel sorry for these honest people who go and protest against what they don't like", he said.

„When Peevski supported the „Denkov” cabinet, there was no corruption, there was no „Magnitsky” and we worked together in the assembly. When another person, sanctioned under the “Magnitsky”, is at protests with Kiro and Lena, their Magnitsky is cool”, said the GERB leader.

When asked if there is pressure on Delyan Peevski to come to power, Borisov said: “No, none.”

“Suddenly everyone in Bulgarian politics has become scary babaites. Every day we hear from someone how they can't do without him, how they won't allow it … and we, who have 66 deputies, twice as many as the others, are the only ones who show modesty. All the others – the world depends on them. And it doesn't depend on anything”, he also said.

Orlin Kolev's nomination for constitutional judge

Borisov also commented on the GERB-SDF proposal for Orlin Kolev to be elected as a constitutional judge. He said that there should be support from “Democracy, Rights and Freedoms – DPS”. “Orlin Kolev is an exceptional lawyer, what is the problem”, Borisov asked.
