The demonstration of political will is one of the conditions for obtaining stable support for our membership in the eurozone. After the latest decision of the Constitutional Court, however, the parliamentary majority is eroding and the ruling party wants to demonstrate a stable presence in parliament. This was stated by Prof. Rumyana Kolarova on bTV on the occasion of the midnight vote on the 2025 budget, quoted by novini.bg
Journalist Veselin Stoynev emphasized: "The majority has been unstable since its very creation, especially when DPS-Dogan is a semi-coalition partner. After the Constitutional Court decision, this majority fell to the sanitary minimum. Without the key support of DPS-Peevski, this budget would not have passed. So we now have a new majority - 3+1+1."
„DPS-Dogan still has two alternatives - either to categorically leave, but this means that Peevski enters with all his might, or to block Peevski as much as he can“, is Kolarova's opinion.
She is convinced that Borisov will insist until the end that the majority format is preserved as it was in the beginning, otherwise “Peevski's omnipotence“ will be shown.
„This majority already obviously depends on Peevski. However, the fact that Borisov reduced the term of this government by half a year shows this uncertainty and instability. Peevski confirmed this - he said that everyone would come to him“, Stoynev also said.
