"The world is shaking. The existence of NATO, of the EU is being questioned. Against this background, people are starting to wonder – where have we gone with this euro, aren't you boarding the "Titanic" just before it hits the iceberg, but another iceberg is coming from the other side. Geopolitical turbulence is extremely strong. Against this background, small political players at the national level are running around, pressing all possible buttons like monkeys in experiments, expecting to get a banana, but they get a weak current."
This opinion was expressed in an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio by sociologist Kolyo Kolev from the "Mediana" agency.
We see a strange majority, behind which stands the minority of public opinion. The big crisis is the discrepancy between the guidelines of the so-called political elite and the desires and fears of the people, he believes.
"A strange coalition, which not only comes into sharp contradiction with the desires, aspirations and fears of the people, but also in conflict with the main geopolitical trends."
The coalition seems stable only at first glance. The more this contradiction deepens, the more unstable a government becomes, the sociologist said.
"This is an unstable government and it can collapse at any moment. If they serve a full term, I will have to throw my diploma somewhere."
Asked about the votes of no confidence that they will bring from the opposition, Kolyo Kolev emphasized:
"They have no chance. To a large extent, relations are monstrous within the ruling coalition itself. Everyone hates each other, despite the fact that they stick together. But the same is true on the other side - MECH hates "Vazrazhdane", "Vazrazhdane" hates "Velicie", they are all pawns, agents, etc. And indeed, when one looks at the results of their actions, one begins to think – are these not figures who are playing a shadow theater in an attempt to consolidate the status quo of the so-called Euro-Atlantic majority."
"The very act of disbanding the group was madness. It is about the fact that the Constitutional Court said: not these, but these. But Natalia Kiselova pushed the entire National Assembly and everyone into this situation, which we are beginning to call a political crisis. This is not a crisis, but rabbit nonsense," Kolev said about the case with the PG of MECH.
They are deliberately bothering us with nonsense, he expressed doubts, referring to the decision of the Constitutional Court to change the composition of the parliament, as well as the attempt of the prosecutor's office to interfere in its actions:
"And instead of being unraveled, a new bunny pops up."
Instead of discussing serious issues, "they are showing us funny, naughty videos" about how we will receive our salary in euros, the sociologist added.
"Absolutely ridiculous! They are almost flooding us with made-up scenes, with made-up blunders, with the aim of not looking at where our money is going."
