Until the convergence report is released, we will not support either votes of confidence or the government.
This was stated to the Bulgarian National Radio by the former Prime Minister and co-chairman of "We Continue the Change" Kiril Petkov, emphasizing that PP will not vote on Wednesday on the vote of no confidence in the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet.
"Being in the eurozone is one of the most important things for Bulgaria. On the other hand, we will not make compromises with corruption and corruption schemes. ... This government is already harmful to the state and there is already a reason for a vote of no confidence based on the budget and corruption schemes and working with Peevski. That's why we decided that on the first day after the convergence report on the eurozone was released, we are already ready to initiate a vote of no confidence".
APS gave the ruling coalition of GERB-SDF with ITN and BSP a chance not to be with Delyan Peevski, Petkov believes:
"The votes with APS are enough for them, they don't need Peevski, but the dependencies from before, the little secrets that are also tied up through the prosecutor's office, corruption secrets, perhaps, and even though they have a partner APS, they can't continue with him because Peevski didn't let them".
According to the co-chair of PP Delyan, Peevski and Boyko Borisov are partners:
"They were partners in Borisov's third government, but not so visibly".
In the show "Nedelya 150" Kiril Petkov commented on the case of the Bulgarian European Prosecutor Teodora Georgieva:
"The facts are that she became a European Prosecutor during the government of Boyko Borisov (2020). I worked with the European Public Prosecutor's Office and with Ms. Laura Kövesi and I really hoped that we would fight corruption through the European Public Prosecutor's Office, because I do not deeply believe in the Bulgarian Public Prosecutor's Office. In this format, Georgieva came to the Prime Minister's Office, together with Ms. Kövesi. And we have initiated more than one signal. Even the Council of Ministers had become a point for submitting signals to the European Public Prosecutor's Office, so that we would not go through the prosecutor's office's office here, we did not trust and we do not trust that much".
