Billionaire Elon Musk, who heads the US Office of Government Efficiency (DOGE), visited the headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Axios reported.
“Unlike other government agencies, DOGE will not have access to CIA databases or internal systems, as most of them are top secret, a person familiar with the matter said“, the media outlet notes.
According to him, Musk met with CIA Director John Ratcliffe and his deputy Michael Ellis, as well as other intelligence officials. He presented them with DOGE’s findings, which could be useful to the CIA in its efforts to reduce budget spending. As the Axios source pointed out, the intelligence agency had previously formed its own unit to improve its efficiency and had been operating for several weeks.
On March 21, Musk visited the Pentagon to discuss cost-cutting and innovation.
