The construction of a helipad begins on the territory of the Multi-profile Hospital for Active Treatment (MBAL) “St. Petka“ in Vidin. The deadline for completing the construction and handing over the site is by the end of May, the director of the hospital, Dr. Iveta Naydenova, told BTA.
A public procurement procedure has been carried out and a contract has been concluded with a contractor for the construction activities, Dr. Naydenova specified. The scope of the terrain designated for the helipad includes a workshop and a warehouse, to which there were claims for ownership by the Emergency Department. It turned out that they were unfounded and the targeted terrain belongs to the MBAL “St. Petka“. This delayed the start of construction activities, as well as the unsuitable weather conditions in February, the hospital director added.
The helipad will be located next to the building of the pulmonary diseases department, and a coordination center will be built right next to it.
The public procurement includes the construction of a site for a hospital heliport, installation of markings and lighting, according to a BTA report on the website of the centralized automated information system “Electronic public procurement“.
