A primary school in Varna has introduced a complete ban on mobile phones not only during school hours, but also during breaks. The initiative is a joint initiative between parents and the school management and is already showing positive results, NOVA TV reported.
The ban has been in effect since the beginning of the first school term and according to students, the changes are visible - they are more focused and report an increase in their success.
„We learn more, we communicate more, we are together and we play", shares a student from the Varna school.
Parents also support the initiative with the understanding that limiting screen time is important for children's development.
„Every parent is responsible for limiting hours in front of screens, because they affect the mental, physical and psychological health of children", emphasizes one of the parents.
The director of the school emphasizes the important role of the parent community for the successful implementation of the new rules.
“The parent community helps us a lot. Their idea was further developed and is currently 100% implemented in our school”, notes the director.
This approach to the use of mobile devices in the educational environment provokes a discussion about the balance between technology and traditional teaching methods, with the example from Varna showing that limiting digital distractions can have a positive effect on the learning process and social relationships between students.
