A new drama between the two wings of the DPS. The mayors of three municipalities in Razgrad region as well as three more party functionaries switched from the camp of Ahmed Dogan to that of Delyan Peevski, reports news.bg.
Earlier today from the press center of "DPS - New Beginning" sent a message to the media stating that Delyan Peevski met with representatives of the local government and structures of the MRF-Razgrad district: Belgin Shukri, mayor of Isperih municipality, Alkin Nebi, mayor of Kubrat municipality, Akhter Veliev, mayor of Zavet municipality, Arif Ahmed, regional chairman of the MRF and deputy mayor of Isperih municipality, Habibe Rasim, deputy mayor of Razgrad municipality, Ali Nazmiev - municipal chairman of the MRF Razgrad and Sevdzhan Sadkaev, member of the Central Committee of the MRF.
It is also stated that the meeting discussed "the importance of the unity of the party in order to be maximally engaged in solving the problems of the people, structures and representatives of the MRF in the local government in Razgrad district".
The activists and mayors in question from Razgrad region are some of the key figures of the MRF-Dogan party in the region, and now it turns out that they are changing camp.
The MRF-DPS also sent a position to the media, with which they distance themselves from the actions of their Razgrad activists.
"With today's formal unilateral decision to transfer mayors of three municipalities in the Razgrad region and three party functionaries to the "New Beginning" faction without decisions of the party structures, we are witnessing another demonstration of the "Peevski model" in action", writes DPS-Dogan.
They point out that over the past few months a similar process has been observed in the structures of the Movement.
"We regret the life and professional failures of our colleagues, who in this way have given rise to falling under the dependence of the ordered actions of the institutions under the dictates of Delyan Peevski. This in no way affects the clearly declared support of 18 thousand people who voted in the last parliamentary elections for DPS with honorary chairman Dr. Ahmed Dogan", the position of DPS-DPS also states.
The formation calls on the mentioned activists to resign from the positions they hold and thus "not to engage the structures and members and sympathizers of DPS in Razgrad district with their actions".
