A crash occurred between three cars on the Asenovgrad-Smolyan road, in a section before Chepelare, NOVA reported, citing information from the Smolyan Regional Police Directorate.
One of the cars caught fire, which was extinguished by a fire brigade team. All three cars were on summer tires on the snowy road.
Due to the incident, traffic on the route was restricted for some time, but normal car traffic has now been restored. No passengers were injured in the collision, only material damage was caused to the cars, reported BTA correspondent in Smolyan Hristina Georgieva.
Snow is falling in almost the entire Smolyan region, the roads are being cleared and sanded. The restriction on the movement of trucks over 12 tons with trailers and semi-trailers through the passes “Rozhen“ and “Prevala“ remains in force, the Regional Road Administration announced.
