The new tariffs will not affect the cost of building the new facilities at the Kozloduy NPP. A ten-year program should provide personnel for them. This became clear during the visit of the Minister of Energy and the Minister of Education to the plant, bTV reported.
The aim of the plan is to train and return personnel to nuclear energy for the construction and operation of the seventh and eighth units.
At least ten thousand specialists and workers will be involved in the construction of the American reactors, with one third of them to be from Bulgarian companies.
As an incentive, the introduction of scholarships of about 1,000 leva during the training of qualified personnel is also being considered.
“I do not expect the reactors as such to be subject to any fees and duties either from Europe or the US. In my opinion, the project will be financially secured by both the US export banks and the Korean side,“ said Energy Minister Zhecho Stankov.
