PP-DB demanded the resignation of the chairman of the RIA management board Yordan Valchev, due to “lies” regarding the repair of the unfortunate section where Siyana died.
On Tuesday, he said that for the Pleven-Sofia road, last year alone, RIA had commissioned activities worth 3 million, which is 2 times more than in the last 3 years before that.
Asked about the bumps, Eng. Valchev said that the road is “passable enough for vehicles to move”. “Currently, we cannot carry out a major repair, because if we close it, there will be no connection between Northern and Southern Bulgaria”, said Eng. Valchev.
He also said that he had conducted an inspection. "In the Telish section, 35% of heavy goods vehicles were speeding. There were some that were driving at 140 km/h", added the head of the RIA.
