Two Bulgarians created a new dating app, which became one of the most downloaded in our country. The app stands out from the rest by putting personality before appearance. Instead of relying on quick likes, the process is more in-depth and encourages a real connection, reports Nova TV.
Martin Dimitrov and Yuliy Metodiev decided to rethink the way people meet online.
"We were not satisfied with all the apps on the market and that's why we decided to do something new", Martin explained.
Yuliy, on the other hand, says that their main focus was on an app that did not focus on the visual. "We wanted to emphasize how you fit together as personalities and attachment styles. We started digging for tests to see how to quantify a person's personality and thus have an objective method to estimate the compatibility between two people," he explained.
The unconventional approach is changing the dynamics of online dating.
"With the help of artificial intelligence and scientifically proven articles and other materials collected over more than 5 years, our trademark matrix was born, with which we determine the compatibility between people," Yuliy also reveals.
With rapidly growing interest, the application is already climbing the charts for lifestyle applications and one of its founders even experienced emotional dating through his product.
"On March 3, I was hiking to Cherni Vrh with a girl I met on Equal. When we got to the hut, I received a message – "the application had become number one," said Yuliy.
The Bulgarian tandem is also preparing the application for neighboring countries.
