“I am horrified by the brutal rocket strike on the center of Sumy on Palm Sunday. I categorically condemn this act of violence and my thoughts are with the people of Ukraine“, GERB leader Boyko Borisov wrote on the social network “Ex“, BTA reports.
His comments were in response to Russia's ballistic missile strike on the Ukrainian city of Sumy this morning.
“We firmly stand by our commitment to an immediate and complete ceasefire,“ Borisov added.
According to Ukrainian Interior Minister Igor Klymenko, at least 21 people were killed and 83 injured in the attack on Sumy. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attack, calling it one of the deadliest this year, and called for a strong international response against Moscow.
