At 5:00 am on Sunday, an emergency team arrived at the Multidisciplinary Hospital for Active Treatment (MBAL) “Ivan Skenderov“ in Gotse Delchev with the body of a 21-year-old man from the village of Petrelik in the municipality of Hadzhidimovo, the hospital announced, quoted by dariknews.bg.
The young man had been to a disco in the town of Hadzhidimovo, said Dr. Angel Tongov, deputy director of the MBAL “Ivan Skenderov“. After he went out in front of the establishment and talked with friends, he suddenly fell to the ground. An emergency call was immediately made to the Emergency Department, and the Gotse Delchev team arrived on the scene in a short time, Tongov said. Despite the efforts, the man was found to be unconscious while being transported to the hospital, he added.
The cause of the sudden death remains unclear for now. According to Dr. Angel Tongov, the body has been sent for an autopsy to the Forensic Medicine Department in Blagoevgrad, and the results of the examination will provide more clarity about the tragic case.
