The Speaker of the National Assembly Natalia Kiselova rejected the request of “Democratic Bulgaria” to provide classified information regarding the smuggling channel for cigarettes in Plovdiv. Despite the insistence of the co-chairman of “Yes, Bulgaria” Bozhidar Bozhanov from the parliamentary rostrum, Kiselova refused to allow the draft decision to be considered with the argument that the internal committee had not approved it.
“I believe that there are grounds for the draft decision to be allowed for consideration in the plenary hall. Regarding the deadlines, although they have not formally expired, let me remind you that when you had to choose Peevski's man Orlin Kolev as a member of the Constitutional Court, 1-2 days were not a problem for you”, said Bozhidar Bozhanov.
In response, Kiselova pointed out that the request is inadmissible and the hearing in the courtroom will be possible after May 2, when the 15-day period after the distribution of the draft decision in the internal committee expires.
