During the fourth quarter of last year, house prices in Bulgaria increased by 1.2% compared to the previous quarter, according to data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI). The strongest increase in prices for the considered period was observed in Stara Zagora – 8.2%. Burgas and Varna are in second and third place, respectively, with an increase in the price per square meter of residential area of 6.3% and 1.7%. The two largest cities in our country – Sofia and Plovdiv report a drop of 0.5% and 0.1%, respectively.
Looking at the data on an annual basis, the increase is 10.1%, compared to the fourth quarter of 2022
Analysts forecast that house prices in the current year will show a slower rate of appreciation. This correlates directly with the number of transactions. And this year they will report a drop of at least 10%, according to experts.
