The Kyrgyz authorities, together with foreign investors, will build on the territory of the republic the most the big ski resort in Central Asia.
„Now the country has started the construction of the Kyrgyz Courchevel. The French company S3V - one of the first operators of the world-famous Courchevel resort, realized the Three Peaks ski cluster. in Kyrgyzstan. There will be 200 km of ski slopes. The resort will work year-round and will be able to receive up to 850 thousand tourists a year. This will be the largest resort in Central Asia”, said in Bishkek at a meeting of the board of the presidential administration of the republic, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Aklbek Zhaparov.
According to him, the implementation of this project will begin in the near future. The facility will be located on the northern shore of the Isik-Kul resort lake. The government leader did not announce the cost of the project.
The construction of two more large infrastructural tourist sites in the country is also planned: “Baitic Resort” (Chui District) and "Chatkal Resort" (Jalal-Abad region), which, according to him, will attract new foreign tourists to the republic.
As Japarov assured, Uzbek investors will be involved in the planned construction of the Chatkal Resort ski center. “The issue of opening the Chatkal Resort ski cluster together with Uzbekistan is under consideration,” he stressed.
