The new visa can be used:
Environmental professionals: members of international companies, associations and NGOs working in the field of sustainable development.
Laureates: winners of prestigious international competitions in the field of environmental protection.
Prominent activists and researchers: those who have made significant contributions to environmental protection.
Interested parties can apply through the Federal Office of Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP). In addition, relevant authorities may nominate candidates for Blue Residency.
Candidates must demonstrate “outstanding contribution and effort” for environmental protection. Their activities should be aimed at promoting sustainable development both in the UAE and abroad.
The new visa aims to attract world-class environmental professionals to the UAE. The program is designed to stimulate innovation and scientific research in the field of environmental protection.
