Burgas Municipality is taking another step towards implementing the project for the construction of a southern bypass of the "Meden Rudnik" complex. Mayor Dimitar Nikolov has submitted a memorandum to the Municipal Council to give the "green light" to Burgas Municipality to request the Council of Ministers to transfer the necessary land free of charge, which falls within the detailed development plan of the southern bypass route, the department specified.
The construction of a southern bypass of the "Meden Rudnik" complex will contribute to easing traffic flow, better transport services to the adjacent residential areas and unhindered removal of traffic from the city.
A contractor has already been selected for the implementation of the project.
The facility is of paramount importance in the Program for Management and Disposal of Municipal Property for 2024, adopted under the Municipal Property Act and approved by a decision of the Municipal Council - Burgas.
In the meantime, Burgas Municipality is working on the implementation of another important transport project. This month, the construction of a local road with two lanes from the “Meden Rudnik” complex in the direction of the “South” junction began. This is the first step towards the next stage, which envisages the construction of two roundabouts on “Zahari Stoyanov” Blvd. The local road will serve the Southern Industrial Zone. The new road will ease the movement of vehicles from the “Meden Rudnik“ complex to the center and back.
