The action of the police at the Oncology Clinic in Vratsa is an act of intimidation - this is what the medical lawyer thinks law Maria Petrova.
In the studio of "The Day Begins" on BNT, she stated that the center has many cases with the Health Insurance Fund and all but one have been resolved in favor of the Complex Oncology Center in Vratsa. Petrova also pointed out that the Municipal Council in the city has violated the law for many years.
Dr. Grigor Tomov is being investigated by the Sofia District Prosecutor's Office for siphoning money from the Health Fund and mismanagement, which resulted in significant damages of particularly large proportions. However, the manager denied the accusations against him and described the situation as a "farce".
Maria Petrova, lawyer in medical law: "The law on medical facilities clearly states that the manager of a medical center can be a doctor with a specialty separately possessing a specialty of oncology or medical oncology. I checked the registry yesterday, Dr. Tomov has a specialty in dermatology, in social medicine he also has a course in health management, but by law he does not have a specialty in oncology, and the first question I would ask the Municipal Council is how they made a legal mistake reason, because I also read the documents from the competition for such a person to be a manager at all, without questioning his managerial qualities."
In the words of the health economist Arkadi Sharkov, the amputation should continue and the situation in the medical center should normalize, and this should not affect the treatment of patients:
"When it comes to oncology drugs, there is talk of a high price. Many controls have been introduced over the years to optimize the price. The noise of these stocks always creates stress for the end user," he commented.
