The police in the Pernik region worked on three cases of domestic violence during the holidays, announced the spokesman for the Regional Directorate (RD) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Pernik, Ventsislav Aleksov, quoted by BTA.
A 41-year-old resident of the regional town was detained for 24 hours for beating and threatening a 38-year-old woman with whom he lived as a family, said Aleksov. The victim herself reported to the police on December 25 that she had been beaten and threatened by the man.
Aleksov said that the next day (December 26) the Emergency Medical Care Center in Pernik reported the woman who had been attacked. The victim, a 28-year-old woman, is from the village of Meshtitsa in Pernik. She was attacked by the man with whom she lives as a family. Doctors found minor injuries and reported to the police. A 41-year-old man was detained for 24 hours in connection with the case, said Aleksov.
On the same day, a report about the woman who had been attacked was also received by the Regional Directorate in Radomir, the spokesperson for the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Pernik also reported. The victim is 56 years old, she has minor injuries as a result of being beaten by her 61-year-old husband. The attack took place in the village of Stefanovo in Radomir. The man was detained for 24 hours.
