The security guard of the Emergency Room in Sofia, who was attacked and beaten while on duty, has been released for home treatment, but with multiple injuries. Footage from a camera in the center shows a man jumping over the barrier at the entrance and starting to punch and kick the employee. The police have detained the attacker and a woman who accompanied him. The beaten employee was taken to “Pirogov”. The hospital indicates that he has knocked out teeth, a laceration-contusion wound to the face and a hematoma.
The woman who accompanied the detained man has a different point of view on the case. She sent a statement to NOVA. According to her, after they entered, they waited for 10 minutes, and the security guard was drunk and asleep.
Dr. Kristina Mancheva is categorical that this is impossible, since there is a security guard at the entrance, which employees are required to pass through on every shift.
„Inhuman aggression on New Year's Eve. We work in the field, we do not have a hospital, we visit by location. They were looking for a doctor. The colleague explained that there was no one here to help. Then the man jumped over the turnstile and with inhuman aggression began to impose on him. We are waiting for the decision of the Prosecutor's Office,” she commented for “Hello, Bulgaria”.
