A bold and drunk criminal driver fiercely resisted a check and detention in Panagyurishte, the police reported.
Two police officers were injured during his capture. During a check on January 2, a patrol car stopped a car driven by a 50-year-old criminal resident of Panagyurishte on one of the streets.
The man refused to present an identity document, managed to start the engine and drove off. One of the uniformed officers tried to stop him, but the man dragged him away with his car.
This injured the police officer's hand. The fugitive was met by another police team and captured. In the police station building, while the documents for the arrest were being prepared, the man made a second attempt to escape.
He also hit the other police officer from the patrol car in the face with his hand, but was restrained and taken into custody. His alcohol test showed 1.8 per mille.
The investigation is being carried out under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
