Only 56 intentional murders were committed in Bulgaria last year and only that of Martin Bozanov-the Notary was not solved. This is understood from a report-analysis of the national police. It is from the data in it that it becomes clear that murders have decreased even more and if in 2023 they were 73, then last year they were 56. There were years when they reached even 200-250, but they gradually began to decrease and after passing about 100, they are now half.
It is explicitly stated that the percentage of murders being solved remains high - over 96%, and that only one crime remains with an unknown perpetrator. Without specifying that this is the Notary's, it is precisely this that is the only undisclosed. Bozanov was shot at the end of January last year and despite the fact that the Ministry of Internal Affairs promises that it will reveal it now, this has not been done so far.
The report notes that the registered attempted murders are 38, compared to 45 for 2023, /a decrease of 15.56%/. The detection rate has increased by 6.3 points - 97.4% for 2024.
The National Police reports a decrease of 4.22% in all registered and an increase in detected crimes by criminal line by about 6 points compared to 2023. Nationwide, a total of 72,438 criminal offenses were registered /compared to 75,633 in 2023/, 38,065 were solved /compared to 35,212 in 2023, writes "Sega".
