The investigation into the death of Rumyana Petkova, mother of the temporarily suspended European Prosecutor Teodora Georgieva, continues. A second forensic medical examination of the body has been ordered to establish the cause of the woman's death in a fire on February 15 this year, NOVA learned.
According to sources in the investigation, data is also being collected from the cells of mobile operators to show whether and whose phones were detected in the area.
The investigation has been transferred to the National Investigation Service at the request of the heirs. So far, several inspections have been carried out on site and recordings from video surveillance cameras in the village have been seized.
The prosecutor's office claims that so far no evidence of violent death has been found. They refused to provide more information on the case, stating that it would be provided on Monday.
