There is a development in the notorious case of a brutal beating in Montana at the end of last year, when a father and son beat a boy and a girl with a metal baton. At the request of the District Prosecutor's Office - Montana, the court took a preventive measure of "detention in custody" against 46-year-old K.K., who was brought in as a defendant in pre-trial proceedings for causing moderate bodily harm.
After the aggression that took place on a busy boulevard in the regional town, social networks erupted in mass dissatisfaction with the decision to release the beaters without charge and to press charges.
A few days after the case was widely covered in the media and the Prosecutor General was personally notified, on December 31, a decision was made to charge the father, K.K., and detain him.
What actually happened?
During the investigation, it was established that at around 7:30 a.m. on December 26, 2024, K.K. received a phone call from his son, who asked him to pick him up from a disco in the town of Montana. He also told him about the problem he had in the establishment with an acquaintance of his – 23-year-old R.A.
Not long after, the father and son drove the accused's car to "Khan Asparuh" Street. Noticing R.A., they got out of the car and headed towards him with folding metal batons. They knocked him to the ground and beat him.
The accused hit 16-year-old V.T., who was at the scene, in the face with a baton, as well as another witness to what was happening. With his actions, K.K. caused V.T. moderate bodily injury, resulting in the knocking out of three teeth.
The investigation continues under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office - Montana.
