The Sofia Court of Appeal is considering the measure of the detainee for the arson of a carriage at the Central Station on December 31, NOVA reported.
27-year-old Simo Nikolov was permanently detained by the court of first instance in custody, and is now appealing this decision.
Four people who entered the carriage to spend the night died as a result of the fire. Nikolov has a criminal record. He has been convicted of various crimes. According to the investigation, he leads a vagrant lifestyle.
The flames broke out on the night of December 31 in a carriage of a passenger train, prepared to depart on the Sofia - Petrich line.
