The film was selected for the main competition of the festival.
The 85-year-old cinema veteran was greeted with a standing ovation in the packed Louis Lumiere festival hall. At the premiere, the master appeared accompanied by a significant part of the cast, including Adam Driver, Dustin Hoffman, Jon Voight and other Hollywood stars. The granddaughter of the director Romy Mars was invited to the red carpet, who represented the young generation of the film dynasty together with her mother, the actress and director Sofia Coppola. The film's budget is $100 million.
This is the 28th film of the master of cinema. The movie "Apocalypse Now" for the war in Vietnam brought him world fame and the Palme d'Or in 1979 from the Cannes festival.
