The state will increase financial support for the archaeological site "Heraclea Sintika" near Petrich, NOVA reported.
This was assured by the Acting Minister of Culture Nayden Todorov, who visited the excavations. Todorov pointed out that the discoveries at the site are extremely valuable and financial support will be provided. Meanwhile, it is still unclear when the unique statue of God Hermes, which was unveiled last week, will be moved to the museum in Petrich.
"We were ready already on Friday, but there were some hiccups, and we cannot allow any failure. That is why we are waiting for more specialists, we work very closely with the municipality. By the end of the week, we should have reached the museum in Petrich, said the head of the site Prof. Ludmil Vagalinski.
"There is currently 300,000 allocated for this project. They will be increased over time. We cannot move forward if we do not know our past. And to find it we need money. The state will give them", said the Minister of Culture Nayden Todorov.
